Congress Park Homes For Sale

Congress Park is a Central Denver neighborhood that began as a streetcar suburb in the 1900's. Many of the neighborhood structure was built during this period, including Fire Station #15 and Capitol Presbyterian Church.

Homes in Congress Park are older than those found in neighboring Cherry Creek and home styles are a blend of old and new with a wide variety of Denver squares. Many have been remodeled to today’s standards. The farther North you move from the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, the less expensive the real estate becomes. Smaller Denver Bungalows and Denver Squares are also located in the Congress Park area and are priced between $300,000 to $700,000.

Move further north toward Colfax, and you’ll find an eclectic mix of single-family, duplexes, and condos.

Congress Park is one of the BEST neighborhoods to live in Denver. The following reasons make this community one of top Denver neighborhood:

  • CENTRAL LOCATION. Access to the best of the city. Located just to the North and within easy walking distance of the fashionable Cherry Creek Mall. The neighborhood is also very close Capitol Hill and the Denver hospital areas.
  • PARKS - Congress Park, Denver Botanic Gardens, minutes to Cheesman and City Park
  • QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD Amazing small town feel and quiet streets
  • GRAND HOMES line 7th Avenue Parkway strip. These beautiful homes are generally priced above $900,000. 7th Avenue Parkway Greenway is very inviting to cyclists, joggers, dog walker and other outdoor enthusiasts.

Trivia: Congress Park used to be a cemetery. It took an act of the United States Congress to allow for the cemetery to be converted to a park. In gratitude, Denver named this place “Congress Park”.

Amusement & Recreation

Congress Park has tennis courts and a public pool, along with fields for soccer and baseball.

Commuting to downtown Denver is less than 15 minutes. The easy walk to nearby Botanic Gardens is an added benefit. The gardens have a stunning variety of plants and flowers. Summer concerts are a favorite event held there in the evenings.

Congress Park’s X-factor score also gets a boost from the recent influx of new restaurants and shops along Colfax Avenue—among them a shared-building concept from Humble Pie Store and Cerebral Brewing as well as the hip-but-approachable Lula Rose General Store coffeeshop.

Barry was a tremendous help in buying a house. We were first-time buyers and totally clueless about real estate and definitely Denver real estate.

He guided us through the process and helped us decide on the area that we now live in. His knowledge of Denver left us with no worries that the condo we bought would maintain its value for years to come.

The best thing about Barry was that it genuinely felt like he was making us his number one priority at all times even though he is an insanely busy guy. It put us at ease and made buying our new home that much easier. I don't know if we would be living here without his help. He is awesome
