Finding a Family Friendly Home near Denver

 A struggle for many people who purchased a home in Denver is how to stay in the neighborhood they love with their growing children. The home they purchased many years ago as a young couple is no longer big enough to support one or two growing children. Many of my clients find they can afford to buy the larger home because their home has increased in value since they purchased years ago. However the larger home many not come with a larger backyard and the schools in the area may not be my client’s first choice.  Most of my clients come to me and ask where can they live that is close to the city and their old neighborhood that is not in the burbs.  One recommendation would be to see what is available in The Glens.

Location: Located halfway between Kipling and Wadsworth between West Colfax and 20th Avenue, Glen Creighton offers tree-laced bend lanes with Glen Creighton Park in the middle. The neighborhood possesses a rural atmosphere but within close access to Co. Roughly 25 minutes from Denver or Golden.

Amenities: Crown Hill Park, Morse Park which has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, Charles Whitlock Recreation Park and Charles E. Whitlock Recreation Center.  

Homes: Large unevenly shaped lots on Scottish named streets— Glen Moor, Glen Gyle, Glen Ayr. and Glen Shietl. 140 homes are in The Glens neighborhood, appreciated and valued for its secluded, rural ambiance. The style of the homes range from: traditional Tudors, to California Ranches, Mid Century Moderns, and a handful of newer construction homes.

Real Estate Values: Prices range from $325,000 to $735,000 Single Family Homes
