Denver Metro Home Prices Continue to Climb, Sell in 18 Days on Average
Here's a quick update on the Denver Metro real estate market. As peak home buying and selling season come to Denver, there was an increase in the number of new listings, but the average price of a single-family detached home saw 1.7% decrease, a slight drop for the first time this year. Compared to last year's prices, single-family detached home price grew by 9%.
"Prices remain hot as both median and average prices continue at double-digit gains. And while some REALTORS® are reporting signs of slowing, those signs have yet to be reflected in the numbers," Steve Danyliw, Chairman of the DMAR Market Trends Committee and Denver REALTOR®
Highlights for May 2018
- New record established for the highest sales price in Attached Single Family(ASF) at $353,863 and a slight drop was reported in Detached Single Family(DSF) to $526,977.
- Average days on market remain low heading into May with DSF at 19 days to contract and ASF 15.
- 63.6% of DSF and 66.3% of ASF homes were under contract in 7 days or less.
- 70.0% of closed homes in May sold for at or over their asking price
