The Five Star award is published in the 5280 magazine in the spring of each year. Only the top 6% of agents in Colorado received this award. They don’t list all the award winners in that publication, but only those who pay for an ad. They do list all the winners on the Five Star website. Thank you past clients!
About Five Star Real Estate Agent Award
The Five Star Real Estate Agent Award is a nationally recognized award given out by Five Star Professional for excellent customer service. Five Star Professional is a research company founded in 2003 that aims to help consumers identify professionals that provide exceptional service and client satisfaction in their respective field. Five Star Professional surveys recent home buyers and home sellers each year across the country and gives out its awards to the top surveyed agents. In 2010, Five Star Professional joined forces with 5280 magazine in Colorado to announce the winners in a special section of the magazine.
The Selection Process
Five Star Professional surveys recent homebuyers and asks them about their experience with their real estate agent. Surveys were sent to the Denver area residents who recently purchased a home within a 5 year time period asking them to evaluate real estate agents with whom they have worked and evaluate them based upon ten criteria:
- Customer Service
- Integrity
- Market Knowledge
- Communication
- Negotiation
- Closing Preparation
- Finds the Right Home
- Marketing of Home
- Overall Satisfaction
- Post Sale Service
Recent homebuyers may evaluate up to two real estate agents in order to measure the experience associated with the purchase and sale side of a move. Self-nominations are not accepted.
Industry peers and professionals are also sent a survey to evaluate real estate agents they have worked with based on industry expertise, customer service skills, market knowledge, and negotiation skills. The respondents are also asked whether they would recommend the agent in the event that they cannot provide real estate services.
